Who can buy ejido land?

Ejido land can only be transferred or sold to other ejido members, or residents of the community that have been officially recognized by the ejido.

However many creative investors have found a means to safely and legally purchase ejido land through the PROCEDE program.  PROCEDE provides a means to have the land deleted from the ejido registry, and have it re-registered as private property with the Public Property Register before the title is transferred.
